aura Commit to National Customer Service Week

For the third year in succession aura have signed up for National Customer Service Week (NCSW) – the Institute of Customer Services’ way of celebrating the hardwork and passion of those who work in roles that support customers.

Critically there is a clear requirement that this is delivered in a fun way.

Following the success of last year’s activities a group of Colleagues will be meeting to discuss how the customer message can be re-enforced across the business in innovative ways.

The 2008 Programme included:

  • All Colleagues wore NCSW T-shirts which they decorated with a message about customers. Heather Scutchings was the winner with an amazing design that delivered this statement beautifully: ‘If you don’t take care of your customers someone else will’

  • A lunchtime Customer Seminar - Why great Customer satisfaction is so important

  • A Customer Champion competition  - the winner was our Post Lady as the Amazon/Christmas season was about to be upon us again

  • NCSW cakes – very popular...

  • A customer based ‘Thought for the Day’ sent by email

  • Finally we raised £50 for Thames Valley Adventure Playground during our lunchtime Customer Seminar

As we said at the end of the week’s events – in 2009 how do we top that?
